OBJECTIVE
Illustrate a magazine cover to fit the theme of the news article called “Cosmetic Surgery Is On The Rise With Technology And Hollywood Is At The Center Of It.”
PROCESS
The main requirement for this project was TEXTURE: I utilized pictures of various surfaces and materials to create this cover. I explored my surroundings, taking photos of sweaters, carpets, bags, blankets, and tables to create variety in my final design.
No typography was allowed (except for the name of the magazine). I decided to illustrate the horrors and tragedy of cosmetic surgery through cutouts of facial features like eyes, nose, and lips. Manipulating the photos of the textures in Adobe Photoshop, I adjusted the hue and saturation to make the piece look cohesive.
